Closed - Open Call 2026

Are you an artist with a connection to Brabant? Are you ambitious and keen to invest in both the artistic and professional development of your practice? Then you may be eligible for Inversie, a talent development programme for visual artists in North Brabant. Inversie is a 12-month programme aimed at emerging or early-career artists with clearly defined development questions related to their practice. From 8 December 2025 until 8 January 2026, you can apply for Inversie #6 through this Open Call.

How it works
You can apply by sending an email to info@inversie.nu including your CV, portfolio and motivation letter. After the deadline, we will check in February whether your application is complete. At the end of March, you will be informed whether you have been shortlisted for the first selection round, after which interviews will be scheduled in April. The final selection will be confirmed before the end of April, and the first activities will start in September 2026. Of course, feel free to contact us by email if you have any questions.

Criteria
Graduated two to five years
You live in, work in, or have a clear connection to Brabant
You have a demonstrable autonomous and artistic practice
a proven research-based or experimental approach to your work
are willing to share knowledge and contribute to group cohesion
You have clear short- and long-term ambitions
You devote at least two days per week to your artistic practice
You are able to reserve one day per week for the Inversie programme
You are available for longer periods, such as work periods and presentations

Application
Your application for Inversie include:
A motivation letter in which you explain why you would like to participate in TalentHub Inversie. Please describe as clearly and concretely as possible your development questions, ambitions, and how actively you are engaged in your practice or the art field. You should also outline your artistic vision, artist statement and/or provide a description of your artistic practice.
Your CV including a relevant selection of experience and your full contact details, including website and social media links. 
Your portfolio containing visual material and, where applicable, links to audiovisual work. Each work should include a title, year, materials, context, partners or collaborations, and a brief content-based description.

About Inversie
Inversie supports talented young visual artists who graduated two to five years ago and have a connection to Brabant, during the transition from art academy to a diverse professional practice. Over the course of one year, artists who position their work outside the conventional frameworks of the art world are supported in their artistic development and in developing a suitable entrepreneurial approach. Inversie stands for reversing the usual order and dares to look beyond established paths in search of innovative methods that suit both the art and the artist. The strength of Inversie lies in its personalised guidance, group cohesion and in-depth content, laying a foundation of self-confidence through workshops, work periods, presentations and expert meetings. Within the programme, Inversie collaborates with a wide range of partners from the Brabant arts field, including Graphic Atelier Den Bosch, Kunstpodium TWitte Rook,TACWillem Twee KunstruimteStedelijk Museum BredaHet NoordBrabants MuseumGalerie Ruby Soho, Emoves and Van Abbemuseum.

About the programme
Inversie is characterised by an intensive 12-month programme consisting of various modules, workshops, studio visits, mentoring, work periods and presentations. Active participation in the group process, collaboration and group cohesion is considered essential. Artists who are involved in projects that require long-term stays abroad, or who already have commitments requiring substantial time investment, are advised to apply at a later moment. The Open Call for this edition will be launched at the end of 2026.
